Delicious food promo with photo frame social media post (6)

A NOTE FROM SUMMIT COUNTY: If your neighborhood was listed on the completed list below and you DID NOT receive service today, please email pio@summitcounty.org with date of last service and street address. We are doing our best to follow up on these complaints with Republic Services and ensure they are addressed.

An update from Republic Services (1/11/23 @ 8:30 PM)

Pinebrook trash and recycle remain down. We planned to be there today but due to road conditions we moved resources elsewhere to try to make up some ground. We plan to be back in the area tomorrow (1/12) to address both trash and recycle.

In Summit Park, trash was STARTED but NOT COMPLETE on Matterhorn Terrace, Paradise Rd, Upper Evergreen/Lower Evergreen, Woodland Dr and Woodland Pl, Aspen Pl,  Aspen Cr, Aspen Terrace, and Zermat Strasse. We will begin recycle and pick up the trash that was left down on the streets listed above tomorrow (1/12).

Silver Creek (Service Area #3) is still down on trash. The roads were not plowed enough to safely service today, but we are working with our contact in SA3 to get the issue resolved. Right now, our plan is to be back tomorrow (1/12), assuming the roads are safely accessible. SA3 recycle will be serviced on its regularly scheduled day (Tuesday 1/17). Please remember you can leave up to four bags of excess materials with your container on that date.

Silver Creek Village recycle was serviced today EXCEPT FOR Coneflower Way which was blocked by construction. We will be back tomorrow 1/12 to complete recycling and address trash.

The Colonies trash was 50% completed today. The area is taking longer to service due to cans buried in snow, but we plan to be back to finish up tomorrow (1/12).

Trash remains down on Highland Estates and Old Ranch Rd. Our plan is to be back tomorrow 1/12 to service these trash routes.

Park City Heights trash was completed today. Recycling is scheduled as normal for Friday 1/13.

Today’s (Wednesday) regularly scheduled trash routes, which include Highland Estates, Parkridge Estates, Mountain Ranch Estates, Quarry Village, Aspen Springs, Thaynes Canyon, Old Ranch Road, Silver Summit, Three Kings, Iron Mountain, Prospector Square, and Park Meadows, were completed WITH THE EXCEPTION OF Eagles Cove Inner Circle and Mahre Drive. Our plan is to return tomorrow (1/12) to clean up Eagle Cove and Mahre Dr on trash.

We should be all caught up on Tuesday’s recycle routes (Bear Hollow, Parkwest Village, Silver Springs, The Colony III & IV, White Pine Ranches, Sunpeak, Snyders Mill, Ranch Place, Willow Creek, and The Canyons) WITH THE EXCEPTION OF Blackstone and Ridgeline. We will return tomorrow (1/12) to service those recycling routes.

Francis and Woodland recycle were picked up today (1/11).

In addition to what was already listed for tomorrow’s (1/12) TENTATIVE plan, we also plan to service Thursday’s regularly scheduled trash routes (Wanship, Hoytsville, Coalville, Echo, Henefer, Peoa, Oakley, Marion, and Kamas) AND service Wednesday’s scheduled recycled routes (Park Meadows).

DISCLAIMER FROM REPUBLIC SERVICES: Recovering missed containers in the County is an active and fluid process. Road conditions often necessitate changing service plans on an as-needed basis. All plans are tentative. If your container is missed on the day of service, please keep your container out or put it on the curb the next day before 7 am to be serviced.

An update from Republic Services (01/09/23 @ 8:00 PM)

All of last week's trash has been recovered with the exception of the following roads in Park City Heights (Richardson Flats). The conditions were too slick. We spoke with Park City and they will make sure they are plowed and accessible for tomorrow morning.
  • Tremper Lane
  • Cinder Ct
  • Kinley
  • Kenal Ct
  • Triton Dr
Francis/Woodland recycle still down. Will be attempted tomorrow (1/10)

Summit Park, Pinebrook, Parleys Ln trash was started today but we pulled out do to conditions. We anticipate recovering tomorrow (1/10) based on the ability to safely service.
All of Promontory recycle recovered except for the following streets. Will be recovered tomorrow (1/10)
  • Promontory Ranch Rd
  • Blue Sage
  • West View
  • Trail View
  • Mineral Dr
  • Silver Creek Village
Everything else on recycle from last week should have been serviced.

We are receiving several resources tomorrow from other divisions as far as St George to try and help us get caught back up. Our biggest challenge will no doubt be the weather. We will continue to do everything we can to safely service the community.

In general, for waste pick-up, we are resuming our regular collection schedule. Please place your waste container on the curb on your regular service day with up to four bags of extra waste beside your container. You can view the trash schedule at the bottom of summitcounty.org/wastecollection.

For recycling collection, we are one day behind schedule. Please place your recycling container on the curb the day after your regular service day. The 2023 Recycling Calendar can be viewed at summitcounty.org/wastecollection. Thank you. - Republic Services

TODAY’S PROGRESS (1/6): Thaynes Canyon, trash and recycle, has been recovered with the exception of Meadows, Aspen Springs, Iron Canyon, Morning Star and Delta. Trash and recycling are complete on Old Ranch Road and Trailside.

TOMORROW’S PLAN (1/7): With the extra resources we are getting tomorrow (1/7) we plan on being fully caught up on residential trash by end of business. For residential trash, we will hit Empire, Woodside and Norfolk tomorrow (1/7) on their regular route day, as well as Coalville and Henefer. For residential recycle, we will hit Prospector Square tomorrow (1/7), as well as Wanship, Coalville, Echo and Henefer. We will do our best to clean up what’s left in Silver Creek (Service Area #3), both trash and recycle, tomorrow (1/7).

An update from Republic Services (01/06/23 @ 10:45 AM)

Our residential recycling drivers coming up out of Salt Lake were delayed this AM due to traffic on I-80. With the snow overnight, and to err on the side of safety, Silver Creek routes will be delayed until tomorrow (1/7). Please keep in mind, continued snow may cause further delays.

The Old Town area is slick this morning, so we'll attempt Empire, Woodside and Norfolk later in the day today (1/6). We are scheduled to be there again tomorrow (1/7) for regular trash service. Anything not recovered today will be recovered tomorrow (1/7).

Recycle routes scheduled to run today include: Highland Estates, Prospector Square, Three Kings, Thaynes Canyon, Aspen Springs, Wanship and Coalville. Wanship and Coalville are scheduled for later in the day. Please note they most likely won’t be fully completed. We will be back tomorrow (1/7) to pick up what doesn’t get done today.

Recycling for Francis, Woodland, Promontory and Silver Creek Village are scheduled for tomorrow (1/7). Please note, weather may push these routes until Monday (1/9).

Echo, Henefer and Hoytsville recyling is also scheduled for tomorrow (1/7). It’s off-week for Kamas, Marion, Oakley and Peoa. These areas will be addressed next week as scheduled.

We will update again this evening (1/6). Thank you. - Republic Services

Following a truck slide on Crescent that needed to be towed, Silver Creek residential recycle was not complete.  There is still trash down on Crescent, Tollgate, Pace and Highfield.

Thaynes Canyon, Old Ranch Road, and Trailside Road trash will be recovered early tomorrow (1/6).

In Park City, Empire Ave, Woodside and Norfolk trash will be recovered tomorrow (1/6) and then again on Saturday (1/7).

We are still a full day behind on residential recycle.

We will follow up tomorrow (1/6/23) as we continue to make progress. Thank you. - Republic Services

An update from Republic Services (1/4/23 @ 7:45 PM)

We finished up Jeremy Ranch from yesterday’s trash route. We are still working on Summit Park, the high side and any small streets that were still slick as of this afternoon remain in the area. We will be back tomorrow morning (1/5).

We finished everything on trash in Silver Creek (Service Area #3) with the exception of Crescent, Pace, Highfield and Tollgate. Those roads were too slick and steep to service. We will return tomorrow (1/5).

We also have Glenwild left down for trash. It will be addressed tomorrow (1/5) as well.

For residential recycle, we will be in Silver Creek (Service area #3), Blackhawk and Glenwild tomorrow (1/5).

We will give another update tomorrow morning (1/5). Thank you. - Republic Services

An update from Republic Services (01/04/23 @ 9:15 AM)

We have a truck this morning (1/4) in Jeremy Ranch catching up from yesterday’s service. We will be in Summit Park this afternoon (1/4).

All other Tuesday routes (Silver Creek, Redstone, Spring Creek, Black Hawk, Glenwild, The Colonies I, II , & III, Bear Hollow, Park West/Canyons, Silver Springs, Willow Creek, Sunpeak, Snydersmill, White Pine, and Ranch Place) will start today (1/4), a day behind as scheduled.

On residential recycle, we are a full day behind, but it looks like we’re on track to be completely caught up by Saturday (1/7).

Reminder: if you have trash that does not fit in your container due to the delays, leave it with your bins on your scheduled day. We’re running extra personnel on all the front loads to pick up garbage that is in excess of the container.

We will give another update this evening (1/4). Thank you. - Republic Services

An update from Republic Services (01/03/23 @ 7:15 PM)

We made quite a bit of progress today on last week’s missed routes and today’s scheduled routes.

However, we were not able to complete Jeremy Ranch today. Approximately 5 trucks got stuck in different locations which played a significant role in slowing us down. We plan to return tomorrow 1/4 to complete.

Like we mentioned earlier today, we also plan on attempting Summit Park tomorrow (1/4).

On residential recycle, we are a full day behind.

Once again, if you have trash that does not fit in your container due to the delays, leave it with your bins on your scheduled day. We will pick it up on this week’s residential trash day.

We will give another update tomorrow morning (1/4). Thank you. - Republic Services

A message from Republic Services (01/03/23 @ 12:50 PM)

We've delayed Summit Park services for today (1/3) due to slick road conditions and will attempt to clean them up tomorrow 1/4).

All other Monday routes (Jeremy Ranch, South Ridge, Pinebrook, and Timberline) will start today (1/3), a day behind as scheduled.

For Francis/Woodland/Kamas/Promontory and Upper Deer Valley, we
will have additional resources out trying to catch up on the trash and recycle left down from late last week.

On your scheduled service day, if you have extra bags that do not fit into your bins, please place them next to the containers.

We will provide another update end-of-day today (1/3). Thank you for your continued patience. -Republic Services

An update from Republic Services (12/31/22)

Due to road conditions and truck issues, we will not complete all of our residential service routes scheduled for today (12/31/22). We also have several streets in Silver Creek and Summit Park left from routes earlier in the week that still need to be serviced.

Republic Services' regular operations will resume on Tuesday (1/03/23) and we will work diligently on getting caught up from there. Thank you for your continued patience. Weather permitting, we should be caught up before the end of next week. - Republic Services

A message from Republic Services (12/30/22)

In observance of the Christmas holiday on December 26th and the New Year holiday on January 2, our service routes are delayed by one day.

These planned delays, combined with icy road conditions and necessary safety precautions have resulted in our operations being delayed further.

Right now, we are working diligently to service your waste and recycling community but cannot anticipate your service time.

As of today (12/30/22), we ask you to please bring your containers back in if you have not yet been serviced this week. You can bring your containers back out next week the day after your normal service day (so if you’re normally serviced on Tuesday, place your containers out on Wednesday).

Due to high call volume, we at Republic Services are also delayed in responding to your voicemails and emails.

Again, thank you for your continued patience. -Republic Services
