Many county services, departments and elected offices are open but are modifying the ways they interact with the public.
Assessor At this time the Assessor will not be open to the public. Notary and primary residency services are the bulk of counter business. All questions regarding Primary Residency can be done by phone or online.
Attorney
Civil Division: All hands on deck working either physically from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or remotely via phone and email. Physical staffing of the Coalville County Attorney’s office is on an as-needed basis.
Criminal Division: Criminal court proceedings are nearly 100% video and done by remote appearances. One Prosecutor per week is “on call” to answer calls from the public and lawyers during business hours and law enforcement 24/7. Paralegals working both in office and at home depending on our court demands. Investigator working remotely and ready for call outs.
Victim Advocates: Both victim advocates are working remotely unless needed for call-outs or a specific court proceeding.
Children’s Justice Center: The Children’s Justice Center (CJC) is fully operational, sanitized and providing services to children and families and our MDT. However, the Director will be working from his home in Wasatch County unless there is an interview scheduled at CJC.
Animal Control Business as usual at this time
Auditor We (the Auditor’s office) will be operating normally unless further restrictions are put in place. If telecommuting is warranted, we will be working remotely. We would prefer that the citizenry call us with questions as opposed to coming to the office.
Community Development (Building and Planning) Due to the recent Summit County Declaration of Emergency relating to the Covid-19, the Community Development Department, which includes Planning and Building will no longer provide in person assistance over the counter. Clerk The Clerk’s office is suspending all passport services and marriage license applications effective immediately for 30 days. We will re-assess the situation in 14 days. In-office hours have been reduced to 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Monday thru Friday. All employees can be reached via email as they are working from home when not in the office. All phone calls will be forwarded to cell phones.
Engineering Engineering has closed the front door to match Building and Planning. We will still be doing inspections, answering phone calls and email correspondence. We are trying to maintain our scheduled meetings, however, we’re trying to do them via other methods (Skype, Microsoft teams, Go To meetings, etc.)
Finance Due to current conditions related to the COVID-19 virus, local guidelines to observe “social distancing” and Stay At Home orders, the Summit County Financial Services Department will be working remotely with limited in-office hours from March 30th until May 1st. If you need assistance, please contact members of this department through email.
Health Department Services are limited. Please call ahead for availability.
History Summit County History Museum has been closed until further notice.
Human Resources We are still fully-functioning but working remotely. Please email or call us. Our office lines will forward to our remote locations.
Justice Court Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the administrative order of the Utah Supreme Court dated March 21, 2020, the Justice Court has postponed court hearings until June 1, 2020. Any hearings scheduled before that time will be rescheduled. During this period of time, warrants for failure to appear will not be issued. Existing payments can be made by paying online. If you have a pending matter that needs immediate attention, or you’re an out-of-state or out-of-country worker who needs to be seen prior to April 1st, please contact the Court by calling 435-615-3802 or emailing justicecourt@summitcounty.org so we can individually address your concerns.
The Justice Court is still open and operational. While hearings have been postponed, Court staff will still be available to answer questions and collect in-person payments.

Information Technology We are planning to stay open, but will offer telecommuting. If the public has requests for maps, we would prefer those that can’t find it online to call GIS first before coming to the office.
Library The Summit County Health Department has issued a stay-at-home order to all residents, effective Friday, March 27. To encourage compliance with the order for library patrons and staff, please note the following changes to library operations:
Returns: Please keep library materials safe at home with you until we reopen. We will continue to renew items for as long as we are closed, so please feel free to enjoy them longer.
Holds and the Henefer Book Locker: Holds will still be kept at all locations until we reopen. New holds will not be delivered to the Henefer Book Locker while the order is in effect.

Mountain Regional Water Office has been closed to customer walk-ins to protect the staff and greater community. We are still providing all customer service functions in a remote fashion and expect no change to our level of service other than the minor inconvenience to customers who arrive hoping for an office visit. NSFD Due to the Coronavirus emergency the fire district is limiting access to the fire stations to emergency responders only. In an effort to limit the risk of exposure to first responders we will not be conducting any station tours or public meetings at this time. The station closure will remain in place until the emergency declaration has been lifted.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Park City Fire District is doing all we can to keep employees and the community safe. All Park City Fire District buildings are closed to the public; this includes fire stations and administrative offices. We will not be hosting station tours or providing any public education events.
As usual, we will respond to all 9-1-1 calls and provide professional emergency services.
The Fire Prevention Bureau will be accessible by phone at 435-940-2532, Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Project inspections may be scheduled as inspectors are available.

Recorder/Surveyor The Recorder’s Office is open but we are helping people through the window. We are also serving as the Information Office. Three employees are working in the office and four more are working from home. We are recording mail MWF.
Senior Citizen Centers The Senior Citizen Centers are closed until further notice. We will still be providing curbside "to-go" boxed lunches for our seniors in:
South Summit: Mondays and Thursdays at 12p
Park City: Mondays and Thursdays at 1p
North Summit: Wednesdays and Fridays at 12p
Seniors who are unable to make it to the centers to pick up their meal can call Jessica at 801-644-1343 two days prior to request a lunch be brought to them.
The suggested $3 donation will not be accepted at this time.
Sheriff Sheriff’s Office is business as usual for now.
Sustainability The Sustainability Office will continue with business as usual unless needed to support public health emergency. Some staff will work remotely from home. Collaborative activities with stakeholders and residents are limited to telephone, email, and remote access meetings.
Staff is able to work off site, if necessary.
As a non-essential service, Sustainability staff is available to assist other departments as needed, with coordination/approval from Richard Bullough.

USU Extension Office After careful consideration, and with the specialized guidance of Utah State University and Summit County, we have made the decision to close the EcoCenter from March 14 through April 8. Our community’s health and safety is our primary objective, and we want to do all we can to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Summit County Extension Office has shifted to remote work until May 1 to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Summit County and to comply with the Stay at Home Order.
