Public Comment Period: Kimball Junction EIS

Tuesday, December 27, 2022

The scoping comment period for the Kimball Junction EIS began Dec. 27 and is open through Jan. 27.

The purpose of the EIS is to address transportation-related mobility for all users of the Kimball Junction area. The alternative concepts carried forward from the Kimball Junction and SR-224 Area Plan (along with any new alternatives that are identified in the EIS process) will be evaluated in a multi-level screening process to determine which alternatives will be carried forward for detailed environmental analysis.

UDOT would like input on the proposed alternatives, purpose and need of the project, alternative screening criteria, potential impacts on the community and natural environment, identification of significant issues, and identification of potential new alternatives.

Comments may be submitted through the project website, email, voicemail/text, or by sending a letter to the study team by Jan. 27. Mailed comments need to be postmarked by Jan. 27
