Helen Strachan

Helen Strachan, Deputy County Attorney

Helen E. Strachan has been an attorney in the office's Civil Division for the past 16 years, working on all aspects of municipal law from GRAMA and human resource law to land use and property tax. She graduated from the University of Utah with a double major in Women's Studies and Sociology and from the University of Utah SJ. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah with certificates in both Criminology and Natural Resources Law. After law school, she practiced for private law firms in both Washington D.C. and San Francisco before moving back home to Utah. She has served as a board member for both Mountain Mediation, LLC and the Community for Children's Justice. In her "free" time, she can be found playing in the mountains and at home with her husband, Adam, and two girls.
