Summit County is currently recruiting for Dispatcher I. Will be working rotating shifts. Performs a variety of working level technical duties involving the use of radio equipment to dispatch various emergency response agencies, including: county sheriff, police, fire, animal control, fish & game and emergency medical personnel in response to a variety of county and community emergency and assistance calls.
Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school and one year of experience performing related duties. Must successfully complete dispatch certification school, BCI Technical Operator Class and become certified as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher within 12 months of hire date. Successful completion of dispatch certification school (POST) within six months of hire date.
$17.67 to $24.75 per hour
May be filled by a Dispatcher II at $18.74 to $26.23 per hour or a Dispatcher III at $19.86 to $27.81 per hour
