Summit County is currently recruiting for an Accounting/Finance Intern. Work schedule may vary but will not exceed 30 hours per week. Will perform all or some of the following duties: Gathering information from various sources and compile in a manner that is useful for a variety of analyses. Enter data, including some information that may be confidential. Assist in the preparation and reporting of annual county budget as needed.
General knowledge of accounting and budgetary practices; personal computer operations; work processing and spread sheet software applications; interpersonal skills.
Ability to take direction; work quickly and accurately with figures; work under time pressures in meeting deadlines; ability to communicate effectively, verbally as well as in writing; develop and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, professionals, the public and fellow employees.
Education: Business or mathematical related fields with an emphasis towards quantitative analyses as opposed to theoretical fields.
