Long Range Transportation Plan

The Engineering Department gathered input throughout the Spring and Summer of 2022 at multiple well-attended public hearings, Open House events, and also took feedback from the Eastern Summit County Planning Commission and the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission to develop this final iteration of the Long Range Transportation plan.

Here are the changes that were made to the plan in the Summer of 2022:

  • Removed: McCleod Creek / Willow Creek Loop / East SR-224 Trail
  • Removed: Democrat Alley Project
  • Added: another option to the Old Highway 40 realignment that will stay clear of the sensitive lands.
  • Added: another option to the Hallam Road extension that aligns with Democrat Alley
  • Added: Active transportation project to Phase II than includes a trail from Wanship to Peoa
  • Moved to Phase II: Projects 20 and 23.
