Description Summit County is recruiting a caring Shelter Attendant for Animal Control, to feed, water, and care for the animals, clean and maintain kennels, and perform routine maintenance and ground keeping duties. Responsibilities include redeeming, impounding, and adopting animals by collecting and receipting the required fees, including dog license fees. Will also maintain records, provide information to the public, and receive and processes complaints. Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and care practices a must. Office procedures, bookkeeping, and strong communication skills needed.
Minimum Qualifications include graduation from high school or GED, enough education and training to demonstrate the ability to perform the above and related duties, and two years of general work experience, preferably in a field related to animal care.
