Business License Information
Summit County Ordinance #191-E requires anyone starting, buying, or operating or conducting any business within the unincorporated areas of Summit County. Licenses are valid from the date they are obtained until January 15th at which time they must be renewed.
Obtaining a business license normally takes 5-10 business days from the time the application is submitted until the approval process is completed.

| Nightly Rental - Nightly Rental Licenses are required of both the owner of a property that is rented out on a short-term basis (less than 28 days) and any individual or company that manages properties that are rented out on short-term basis. | $200.00 Application |
| Mass Event Buisness License -Any person or entity who wishes to sponsor a mass event in which there are multiple vendors or businesses located at a single site, shall be required to obtain a mass event business license. For alcohol also apply for a Single Event Permit | $1,000 - $5000 Application |
| Small Event License -An event with no more than fine (5) vendors at a single site. For alcohol also apply for a Single Event Permit | $500 Application |
| Temporary Event License -An event of five (5) consecutive days or less in which there is a sole vendor at a single site. | $100 Application |
| Solicitor's Permit - Solicitor's Permit is required for any individual, company, organization, or entity that is soliciting within the unincorporated areas Summit County. Each individual city may have their own licensing and regulations that must be followed. All solicitors that fail to obtain a Solicitor's Permit are subject to incarceration. | $200.00 + Bond Application |
| Filming Permit - Single Event Filming Permits are required for each production that does not exceed 4 days or 40 hours. | $200.00 Application |
