Equipment Operator

Description


Summit County is currently recruiting for an Equipment Operator who will perform skilled tasks related to constructing, maintaining, snow removal, repairing county roads and related systems. Will also operate and maintain light to heavy duty equipment as needed..

Minimum Qualifications

Equipment Operator I minimum qualifications: High school graduate or GED; and one (1) year of experience in operation and maintenance of light to heavy duty equipment. Must possess a valid Class B Utah Commercial Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Class A Utah Commercial Driver’s License within six (6) months of hire date. Preference given to those who already possess a Class A Utah Commercial Driver’s License. Must pass flagger certification class.

Equipment Operator II minimum qualifications: Graduate from high school or GED; and five (5) years of experience in operation and maintenance of medium to heavy duty equipment. Must possess a valid Class A Utah Commercial Driver’s License. Must pass flagger certification class.



Salary Range:

  • Equipment Operator I : $18.74 - $26.23/hr   
  • Equipment Operator II : $19.86 - $27.81/hr
