Summit County is currently recruiting for a full-time Assessing Tech I. Performs a variety of entry level clerical duties as needed to organize and assemble personal and real property data for the county-wide property appraisal, assessment and reappraisal program. Will perform clerical review and computer data entry of all property changes in the appraisal and assessment process; proofs valuations, reviews property codes and types for accuracy; assigns property account numbers, monitors deleted property, and makes ownership changes. Processes and records all property changes made in Recorder’s office onto Assessor’s files for use by appraisers and other staff; identifies discrepancies in descriptions and ownership; transfers appropriate information to appraisal staff. Enter FAA Greenbelt property data into computerized assessment system; prepares and processes Greenbelt documentation, type legal description; maintains appraisal land value guideline book on word processor which includes maps showing commercial, residential and agricultural areas.
Graduation from a high school and one (1) year of experience as a clerk or technician involved in general office work related to above duties.
Assessing Tech I: $14.97 – $20.97/hr.
